Independent Neurorehabilitation Providers Alliance INPA
Neurorehabilitation is a complex process of assessment, treatment and management. Patients (and their families/carers) are supported to achieve their maximum physical, psychological and social potential to maximise their quality of life.
The Independent Neurorehabilitation Providers Alliance is a membership organisation for independent providers who specialise in neurorehabilitation. Members have an agreed set of high quality standards to ensure neurorehabilitation is delivered in appropriate environments by trained multidisciplinary staff.
Neurorehabilitation serves people with neurological disabilities, both congenital and acquired. Some of the conditions covered are; brain injuries, which may be acquired through trauma, infection or oxygen deprivation (as in the case of cardiovascular accidents or asphyxiation); stroke; spinal injury and can also include degenerative conditions such as multiple sclerosis where maximising the quality of life is the main aim.
