European Neuro Convention 2017 Highlights
This year’s European Neuro Convention brought an amplitude of neuro practitioners to ExCeL, London for the sole purpose of viewing and testing state-of-the-art technology that helps them stay at the forefront of neuro innovation. This year’s event saw the likes of Dr Charlotte Stagg, Tamsin Reed and Dr Hugo Spiers join us for two unmissable days full of incredible live demos of technology and an unparalleled expert-led seminar line-up.
One of the many highlights from the show were the masterclasses from DM Orthotics, where inspirational double Paralympic gold medallist Kadeena Cox held talks. The remarkable athlete is the Brand Ambassador for DM Orthotics and spoke on the DMO products that she uses to train every day, to a full crowd of neuro practitioners. Plymouth University’s renowned professionals also joined us to deliver their insight and knowledge in a multitude of interactive workshop sessions including topics such as ‘Rehabilitation Strategies for Progressive Multiple Sclerosis’ and ‘Contemporary Issues in Cognitive Rehabilitation’.
The event saw many exhibitors showcasing extraordinary state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology. Techno Concept’s Vibramoov snapped up the Innovation of the Year Award. Whilst Matthew White, Clinical Specialist in Functional Electrical Stimulation at Cyclone Technologies, won the Award for Outstanding Personal Achievement for his fantastic work on Xcite. Both awardees showcased their innovative products to huge crowds at the show’s live demo area, in another one of the convention’s highly impressive highlights.
Neuro-surgery and diagnostics also proved to be incredibly popular at the show. Seminars from Consultant Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiologist Dr Kandasamy, and spinal cord expert Professor Wagih El Masri, drew large crowds of captivated neuro-surgical and diagnostic professionals who pinpointed each seminar as one of the highlights from the convention. Mr. Nick Thomas, one of the world’s most established and respected surgeons, also spoke at the convention in one of the show’s most zealously anticipated seminars.
It’s safe to say that this year’s convention was a resounding success. Next year, we are doubling in size to include the Medical Imaging Convention and the Oncology Convention that will run alongside the European Neuro Convention. The popularity of this year’s convention also means that we will not only be doubling in size by adding new shows, but also literally. Next year we’re bringing bigger seminar theatres, more cutting-edge exhibitors, more speakers and a wider range of seminar topics. Needless to say, 2018 is set to be the biggest show yet, and we’re as excited as you are.
The event takes place at ExCeL, London on 6th & 7th June, it is completely free to attend. So, save the date and register for your complimentary ticket.
