Gamma Knife and Radiotherapy Services
Previous Advanced Nurse Practitioner employed as the Gamma Knife Manager at the Leeds Gamma Knife Centre in 2010. I lead a team of 5 radiographers treating 250 patients a year. I have attended numerous Stereotactic Radiosurgery meetings around the world to enhance my knowledge and enable me to develop the service.
ICON LEKSELL GAMMA KNIFE STEREOTACTIC RADIOSURGERY
Icon enables Leeds Gamma Knife Centre’s team of neurosurgeons and neuro-oncologists to deliver treatment to tumours close to critical structures and a larger volume than the Perfexion model without compromising the dose control, precision or conformity. This seminar will demonstrate how Icon delivers flexibility and increased clinical versatility with the ability to choose the level of immobilisation a patient requires between fixed frame and mask with CBCT and infrared intra-fraction monitoring.
