This new version of the Microstim enables the practice of functional movements controlled by a hand switch. This enables accurate timing with volitional movement and hence aims to improve re-education of movement.

The MICROSTIM2v2 neuromuscular stimulator is intended for the exercise of weak or paralysed muscle. It is designed to be simple to use with the minimum necessary user controls. The output stimulation intensity is ramped at the beginning and end of each cycle by pulse width modulation to produce a comfortable sensation. This makes it particularly appropriate for patients who may have elevated muscle tone due to spasticity.
