Dr Penny Trayner
Dr Penny Trayner is a Chartered Paediatric Clinical Neuropsychologist and Clinical Psychologist based in Manchester. In 2009, she founded a specialist community-based rehabilitation service for children and young people with acquired brain injury, which serves patients and families across the UK.
Alongside her clinical work, Dr Trayner is also a senior lecturer in Clinical and Health Psychology and is the co-Academic Director of the University of Liverpool Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme. She has co-authored articles in leading international journals and academic texts and is an invited speaker at national and international conferences on a range of topics related to neuropsychology, mental health and healthcare technology.
Dr Trayner is also the creator of Goal Manager®, an award-winning cloud-based software application designed to facilitate effective goal setting and automate the tracking of progress and outcomes in rehabilitation.
When she is not being a neuropsychologist, Dr Trayner is also a professional DJ and has used these skills to co-design a first-of-its-kind DJing for rehabilitation programme as a vehicle for helping children and adults recover from catastrophic brain injuries - BPM Rehab.
